A LIFE SHAPED BY EDUCATION & SERVICE

From Malwana.
With a wider purpose.

A January 2026 profile by Irshad Imamudeen traces Dr. Jiffry’s journey from modest beginnings in Malwana and early schooling at Al Mubarak to university studies in Jaffna and Colombo. It describes how the country’s conflict interrupted his education, and how perseverance helped him complete his studies.

The account follows his grounding in accountancy, the start of his business journey in Singapore and later commercial activity in Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and Malaysia. Its central theme is the connection between enterprise, integrity and responsibility to others.

It also describes years of community leadership in Papua New Guinea and service through Zahara Foundation: educational support, responses to poverty and humanitarian crises, and efforts to help disadvantaged children remain in education. Across these themes, the profile presents learning as a lasting investment in the next generation.
